One must go for leafy green vegetables as they are the best source of antioxidants. Antioxidants help to maintain your blood sugar level. They are rich in Magnesium and dietary fiber, full of Folic Acid and low in fat. Vitamin C, which also fights fat, is found in abundance too.
2 EXERCISE:
All good things come to those who sweat. Exercising is beneficial for all. It reduces body fat and drains the stress while preserves the bone mass at the same time. It triggers the body to produce insulin resulting in lowering your blood sugar. It also improves your blood circulation.
3 APPLE CIDER VINEGAR:
Before the creations of medications, apple cider vinegar was believed to be the natural medicine for high blood sugar. It was highly used as a remedial measure with meals because of its visible effectiveness in lowering your blood sugar. It blocks the digestive process of starches preventing them from raising your blood sugar. It also has antioxidant properties.
4 CINNAMON:
A study shows that cinnamon, a sweet warming tasting spice, is very effective in lowering your blood sugar. 3 to 6 grams of cinnamon taken daily can show improvement in your glucose readings. 1 INCREASING CARBS:
Foods rich in carbohydrates lead to a much faster rise in blood sugar levels. Candies should be totally eliminated from the diet. Cookies, cakes, French fries, pizzas all such mouth-watering names have to be wiped off from the food list.
2 STRESS IS DANGEROUS:
Stress is highly dangerous as it invites all sorts of disorders. Stress is the mother of obesity and high blood sugar. Hormones and enzymes secreted during stress which can make your readings go high up. Exercising and taking control of the situations will help you in lowering your stress as well as blood sugar.
3 LATE NIGHT MEALS:
Late night snacks add extra calories which can lead to weight gain and sugar level rise. Foods containing high carbohydrates may prove to be a poison if taken especially late in the night. There should at least be a two-hour gap between your last meal and bedtime.
4 SWEETS:
Avoid sweet dishes! It can be tempting to add sugar in your tea or to have soda with a meal, but remember: prevention is better than cure! Avoid fruits with high sugar content like mangoes and bananas. Use natural and unprocessed sweeteners like honey instead of sugar.
CHANGE is never easy. However, being a victim of high sugar level, change is what you need in order to lead a normal life; your survival depends on it!
